Andressa Michelotti

I am a Political Science Ph.D. Candidate at Universidade de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a previous Ph.D. Candidate on International Relations at RSIS at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. My research explores the relationship between social media, disinformation, and the role of Big Tech companies in this scenario. Currently, I am focused on the intersection between digital technologies, society, and politics, especially in hyper-digital societies.

Previously, I was the co-founder of In_Site Research, a research consultancy specializing in technology, society, and culture. I also worked in the Tech Industry at Google and Facebook (Meta) for over a decade. I am also an amateur photographer and a coffee aficionada.
